On Sunday, coveted dinner feature speaker (and SPS alum) Heather Hoechst repeated as Tussey Mountainback 50 mile ultra marathon champion with a time of 6 hour 49 minutes and 45 seconds. More notably, as Tussey doubled this year as the site of the USA 50 Mile Road Championships, Heather has become the latest SPS national champ!
In the relay races, Tim Hein and Hunter Proctor won the Supra division (for two man teams) with a time of 7 hours 2 minutes and 38 seconds. More importantly, Tim and Hunter had the best relay team name: “Beating Elder Now Geriatric Heather Always Zoning In.” Of course, Heather actually beat the two person team by thirteen minutes, but that’s neither here nor there.
Congrats to all!
