Run the Bridge – September 26

On Saturday morning, September 26, the regular 8 a.m. group will run up to meet with folks at 5th and Race at 8:20 to run on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.  Due to the Pope’s visit, the platform is closed to traffic but open to pedestrians (while the regular walkway is closed).  Other than the Cooper Norcross Bridge 10K, this bridge closure is one of the few times one can run on the platform itself.

SPS/FBR/Chasing Trail Annual Trail Run/Picnic – Sunday, August 16

Sunday is the annual Fishtown Beer Runners/South Philly Striders trail run and potluck picnic.  This year, Chasing Trail will join in the fun as well.  We meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 16 outside Valley Green in the Wissahickon Trail.  We will then run a designated run of about 5 miles before returning to the picnic spot.  Please bring a potluck item of food, drink or whatever.
