Two Street 5K Run – October 1, 2011, 9 a.m.

Once a year, SPS foregoes the Saturday morning run in favor of the Two Street 5K.  This year’s race takes place on Saturday, October 1, 2011, 9 a.m.  Last year, SPS cleaned up the awards, including 1st and 3rd overall females, and three 1st and two 2nds in age group divisions.

Support Katherine’s partipation in Susan G Komen 3 Day for the Cure

Kennett Restaurant Wednesday, September 21, 2011  6-9 pm

Kennett Restaurant has agreed to host a fund raiser. A portion of the proceeds from food and drink sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Please plan to stop by on Wednesday, September 21, 6 to 9 PM. Join us at Kennett for really good food, drinks and fun people.

Thanks to the folks at Kennett, our fun will support felllow runner Katherine Bevans participation in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cur…e.

Katherine is participating in the 3-Day for the Cure with Ann, her sister. Ann was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. The two have since committed themselves to doing what they can to support this foundation.

Proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure fund innovative global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment. Virtually every major advance in the fight against breast cancer in the last 28 years has been impacted by a Komen for the Cure grant.
